Sixty-three years of great music on the Corallini square, one of the most scenic spots on the Riviera
The Festival Internazionale di Musica da Camera di Cervo was born over fifty years ago from the intuition of the Hungarian violinist and conductor Sándor Végh, captivated by the extraordinary acoustic qualities of Piazza dei Corallini, the parvis of the baroque church of San Giovanni Battista in the village of Cervo, in the province of Imperia. Végh bought a house overlooking the square and proposed an ambitious cultural project to the Municipality, which has become one of the longest-running and most beloved music festivals in the country.
The charm of the festival lies in its natural stage: the square, framed by the concave facade of the Corallini church and opening onto the Ligurian Sea, offers the concerts an unrepeatable atmosphere. In 2026, the event reaches its 63rd edition, maintaining its high-level classical programming while increasingly opening up to the dialogue between genres, with incursions into jazz.
Alongside the evening events, the festival offers projects for schools, listening guides, and accessibility and inclusion initiatives, in collaboration with the FAI. Cervo, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, thus confirms its vocation as a destination for lovers of great music, capable of uniting historical heritage, landscape, and culture in the setting of the Riviera dei Fiori.
The 2026 edition of the Festival Internazionale di Musica da Camera di Cervo is dedicated to the theme 'The Art of Dialogue' and features 15 concerts from July 10 to August 28 on the parvis of the Corallini. The program combines great performers of classical and jazz music, with special sections dedicated to young composers (Risonanze) and piano music (Géza Anda Days).
Fifteen concerts in total until August 28 in Piazza dei Corallini. Full program and schedule on the official website cervofestival.com.
Cervo is located on the Riviera dei Fiori, between Imperia and Andora. By car from the A10 exit Imperia Est or San Bartolomeo al Mare. The nearest train station is Diano Marina or San Lorenzo al Mare. The village is pedestrianized: park at the entrance of the town.
Concerts are held in Piazza dei Corallini. Tickets are on sale through online presales and partner agencies. Information and full program on the official website cervofestival.com.
Concerts are outdoors: bring a jacket for the evening. The square has limited seating, so it's advisable to book in advance.
