Garda Rosé Takes Center Stage

On the Brescia side of Lake Garda, the village of Moniga del Garda, in the Province of Brescia, hosts Valtènesi in Rosa every spring, the national event dedicated to Valtènesi rosé wine. The event takes place in the evocative setting of Moniga's medieval castle, transformed for three evenings into the capital of Italian rosé.

Over 100 Labels for Tasting

The heart of the event is the grand tasting: more than 100 labels from over 40 wineries in the region, alongside a selection of prestigious Provençal rosés, in a dialogue between the two great traditions of rosé wine. Each wine can be tasted only once, a choice designed to enhance each sip and promote a responsible approach to discovering the territory.

The Molmenti Prize and Valtènesi Culture

The opening evening hosts the ceremony for the Molmenti Prize, which crowns the best Valtènesi of the year. The award is named after Pompeo Molmenti, the Venetian senator who first codified the production method of this centuries-old rosé in 1896. The event also provides an opportunity for conferences and in-depth discussions on the history and identity of Valtènesi.

Local Flavors and Lake Sunsets

Accompanying the glasses, a gastronomic area offers typical dishes of the event: from strawberry risotto with Valtènesi to creamy pasta served in Grana Padano cheese wheels.
