Valdengo in Festa is the premier community event in the town of Valdengo, a small village in the Province of Biella, Piedmont. Now in its 41st edition in 2026, the festival takes place every year between late May and early June, transforming the Municipal Sports Center on Via Libertà into a vibrant gathering place for the entire Biella community.
An eleven-day festival
Valdengo in Festa is more than just a local village fair; it is a multifaceted event that weaves together music, sports, culture, and gastronomy. Every evening, the Sports Center hosts convivial dinners featuring traditional Piedmontese and Biella dishes, from polenta and salt cod to ziti with bagna cauda, accompanied by tastings of local cheeses. After dinner, the stage comes alive with live concerts, dance evenings, and entertainment for all ages.
Live music and tribute bands
The musical program is a highlight of the event. The Valdengo stage hosts dance orchestras, DJ sets, and numerous tribute bands dedicated to the greatest names in Italian and international music: from homages to Queen and Vasco Rossi to revivals of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. The lineup also includes rock, pop, and ska performances by local bands and guest artists.
Sports and tradition
The event also has a strong sporting vocation, a legacy of the Gruppo Amici Sportivi di Valdengo APS-ETS, which organizes the festival. The calendar features cycling races, the historic StraValdengo running race, youth soccer tournaments, chess competitions, and inter-municipal games. Alongside these activities is the Wood Carving and Sculpture Competition, which attracts artisans and enthusiasts to showcase their works to the public.

Valdengo in Festa — edition 2026
The 41st edition of Valdengo in Festa was held from May 29 to June 8, 2026, at the Municipal Sports Center on Via Libertà, organized by the Gruppo Amici Sportivi di Valdengo APS-ETS with the patronage of the Municipality.
The program combined music, sport, and gastronomy over eleven consecutive evenings. Among the most anticipated events: the 16th Wood Carving and Sculpture Competition (May 30-31), the cycling races on June 2, the StraValdengo running race on June 4, youth soccer and chess tournaments, as well as Pompieropoli and educational paths for children.
The musical lineup was rich, featuring tribute bands dedicated to Queen, Vasco Rossi, and the greatest hits from the 60s to the 90s, along with dance evenings and DJ sets. On June 2, Republic Day, Valdengo was among the municipalities connected live from the Piazza del Quirinale. The event concluded on June 8 with a final dinner, a lottery draw, and a fireworks display.

Admission and hours
Admission is free every evening. Evening dinners generally start at 7:00 PM, with musical performances beginning at 9:30 PM. All proceeds are donated to charity.
