A summer celebration in the village of Val Vomano, Penna Sant'Andrea
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Val Vomano Summer Festival is one of the most anticipated summer events in the village of Val Vomano, within the municipality of Penna Sant'Andrea, in the province of Teramo, in the heart of the hilly Abruzzo region. Established in 2023 by the Pro Loco Val Vomano, the festival has grown with each edition to become a landmark of the summer season in the Vomano valley, attracting visitors from across the entire area.
The festival follows the format of a contemporary village fair: several evenings of free entertainment in the Piazza ex Mercato Coperto, with a program designed for all ages. It ranges from live musical performances and late-night DJ sets to spaces dedicated to children, entertainment, youth tournaments, and an unmissable funfair. All this is accompanied by a wide selection of street food, beer, and cocktails, transforming the square into a great convivial meeting point.
The lineup alternates between national musical acts and local, traditional offerings: pop and hip-hop concerts, live bands, fashion shows under the stars, and dance evenings hosted by DJs. The 2025 edition, the third, featured artists such as Babaman and various live groups, confirming the festival's commitment to mixing popular entertainment with the promotion of local talent.
Penna Sant'Andrea is a small town in the province of Teramo, nestled among hills that slope down toward the Adriatic Sea, with views of the Gran Sasso massif. The village of Val Vomano stretches along the valley of the river that gives it its name, in an area with a strong rural and agricultural identity. The summer festival is an expression of this vibrant and cohesive community, driven by the volunteer work of the Pro Loco, and is the perfect opportunity to discover the hospitality and flavors of the Teramo hinterland.
With its mix of music, gastronomy, and outdoor fun, the Val Vomano Summer Festival is one of the highlights of the Abruzzo summer calendar in late August. A free event accessible to everyone, it serves as a wonderful finale to the season of village festivals before the arrival of autumn.
