A Halloween celebration in the heart of the village
On the last weekend of October, the village of Ripattoni, a hamlet of the municipality of Bellante in the province of Teramo, turns into a themed village for the Halloween Party – Trick or Treat?. It is one of the most beloved autumn events in the Teramo region: an experience designed primarily for families and children, which has successfully captured a loyal audience from all over Abruzzo.
The streets and alleys are filled with carved pumpkins, cobwebs, witches, monsters, and ghosts, creating an atmosphere suspended between playfulness and thrills. The event is passionately organized by Pro Loco Ripattoni APS, with the patronage of the Municipality of Bellante, which renews and expands the program every year.
What to do during the festival
The heart of the event is the classic monster hunt through the village streets, accompanied by numerous activities designed to entertain adults and children throughout the afternoon:
- Themed art and creative workshops
- Street performances and roving artists
- Spooky readings for the little ones
- Face painting
- Fortune tellers and tarot readers
- Live music and DJ sets throughout the afternoon
- Food and drink stalls
In recent editions, the program has been enriched with new immersive attractions, such as a themed escape room and a Tunnel of the Living Dead, making the experience even more engaging. The format remains that of a participatory and convivial village festival, where the community of Ripattoni opens its doors to visitors.
An event for families
The festival is particularly suitable for children, with the classic trick or treat tradition that sees them knocking from door to door in search of candy. Admission is free, with the option to leave a voluntary donation to support the activities of the Pro Loco and the life of the village. Ripattoni, with its compact size and its character as a small Abruzzese village, offers the ideal setting to experience Halloween in an authentic way, in close contact with the local community.
