The family sports festival in the Val Noce, Cantalupa
The Val Noce Games is a sports and recreational event held in Cantalupa, a small town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, in the heart of the Val Noce in Piedmont. The event brings together children, teenagers, and families for a day dedicated to play, movement, and togetherness, with sport serving as the common thread and an educational tool.
The event is promoted by the Lions Club Cumiana Val Noce and stems from the collaboration between the municipalities of Cantalupa, Frossasco, and Roletto, the three towns that make up the Val Noce. The goal is to enhance the sense of community and promote sport as an opportunity for different generations to meet, fostering collaboration, inclusion, and fair play.
The day is divided into numerous trials designed for all ages. The disciplines offered include:
The approach is not competitive in the traditional sense: the focus is primarily on participation, fun, and the educational value of physical activity.
The heart of the event is the Stadio Grande Torino in Cantalupa, the town's sports facility, which for the occasion is transformed into a large outdoor playground for children and families. Its location, nestled in the greenery at the foot of the Pinerolo mountains, makes the day an opportunity to experience sport in a natural and welcoming setting.
The Val Noce Games are part of the Lions Club Cumiana Val Noce's commitment to the local area and represent an opportunity to showcase the Val Noce and its three communities. It is an event that aims to grow over time, becoming a reference point for families in the Pinerolo area and the province of Turin.
