Two Towns, One Great Stage Theater Season

A shared stage between two Maiella towns

The Two towns, one great stage theater season was born from a simple and generous idea: to pool the resources of two small towns in the Chieti hinterland, Civitella Messer Raimondo and Lama dei Peligni, to offer high-quality theater programming that neither could afford alone. Nestled at the foot of the Maiella mountains in the Abruzzo region, the theater here becomes an opportunity for connection and shared identity between two neighboring communities.

Artistic direction is entrusted to the actor Federico Perrotta (Uao Spettacoli), who has curated a lineup ranging from brilliant contemporary comedy to the great Neapolitan theatrical tradition of Eduardo De Filippo. Performances are split between the two towns: the Auditorium della Cultura in Civitella Messer Raimondo, located on Via Maiella 1, and the Sala Polivalente "A. Del Pizzo" in Lama dei Peligni.

A project that unites the territory

The title says it all: two towns, one great stage. The municipal administrations, led by mayors Danilo D'Orazio (Civitella Messer Raimondo) and Tiziana Di Renzo (Lama dei Peligni), aimed to make theater accessible to everyone, thanks in part to a free shuttle service connecting the two towns for every show. This allows audiences from one town to easily reach the other, turning the festival into a true moment of territorial cohesion.

Renowned names on stage

The season's program features familiar faces from the Italian theater scene: Marco Falaguasta, Michele La Ginestra, Federico Perrotta himself, and the Compagnia CAST performing a play by Eduardo De Filippo. It is an offering that alternates laughter, reflection, and memory, designed for a wide audience and families, held in intimate venues where the connection between actors and spectators remains direct and warm.
