The FMI Tuscany Regional Enduro Championship round through the hills of Rufina
Amidst the vineyards and forests of the Val di Sieve, the town of Rufina (Metropolitan City of Florence, Tuscany) hosts a round of the FMI Tuscany Regional Enduro Championship, the off-road calendar organized by the Tuscan Regional Committee of the Italian Motorcycling Federation. The event draws riders, teams, mechanics, and enthusiasts from all over the region to the Chianti Rufina area, transforming the Florentine hills into a motorsport stage for the weekend.
The event is organized by the Moto Club A.M. Colli Fiorentini, which sets up the paddock at the Rufina Municipal Stadium, the hub for technical checks, starts, and vehicle support. The course consists of three laps with two special timed sectors: a cross test of about three and a half minutes on hard terrain, characterized by adverse cambers and a fast pace, and an enduro test of about six minutes entirely designed within the undergrowth, a mix of fast and technical passages through rocks and steep descents that tests riding skills, physical endurance, and bike reliability.
As is tradition for the Tuscan championship rounds, numerous classes and age groups compete, from young riders to experts:
The Rufina stage is also part of the Master Beta Trophy, providing an additional draw for riders in the amateur and master categories.
The race is part of a broader weekend dedicated to motors in Rufina, which also coincides with the Rally di Reggello e Colline del Chianti Rufina. The municipal administration views these events as a key opportunity for regional promotion: a way to showcase Rufina, its hamlets, its hilly landscapes, its food and wine excellence—starting with the famous Chianti Rufina wine—and its tourism potential to a wide audience. Sport, nature, and tradition thus meet in one of the most evocative areas of the province of Florence.
The 4th round of the 2026 Tuscan Enduro Championship took place on Sunday, June 7, in Rufina, with the paddock set up at the Municipal Stadium and organized by the Moto Club A.M. Colli Fiorentini. The race was also valid as the second round of the 2026 Master Beta Trophy.
Riders completed three laps of the track, facing two special timed stages: a cross test of about three and a half minutes on hard terrain, with adverse cambers and a fast pace, and an enduro test of about six minutes designed in the undergrowth, featuring fast and technical passages, rocks, and steep descents.
Race categories: Overall, Guest, Major, Master, Senior 2T, Cadets & Beginners, Women's.
Rufina can be reached from Florence in about 30 minutes by car following the SS67 along the Val di Sieve, or by train on the Florence-Borgo San Lorenzo/Pontassieve line (Rufina station). The paddock is set up at the Municipal Stadium.
The program, regulations, and registration details are published by the FMI Tuscany Regional Committee and the Moto Club A.M. Colli Fiorentini. During the weekend, traffic changes may occur in the affected areas, as indicated by the Municipality of Rufina.
Wear clothing and footwear suitable for off-road terrain to follow the race along the hilly track; bring water and sunscreen on hot days.
