About Trofie Festival
The homeland of trofie
The Trofie Festival is the most identity-rich gastronomic event in Sori, a seaside town in the Metropolitan City of Genoa. Trofie, a small twisted fresh pasta, are deeply linked to this stretch of the Ligurian coast, and the festival celebrates them in the most authentic way: by making them by hand.
An open-air workshop
The pedestrian area of the town is transformed into a large fresh pasta workshop: from the late afternoon, anyone can try their hand at preparing trofie with the 'mattera' (wooden board) and an apron, alongside expert pasta makers. Then the food stalls open, with trofie al pesto prepared with pasta from Pastificio Novella and focaccette al formaggio.
Music on the beach
In the evening, the festival moves towards the sea, with concerts and shows animating the beach of Sori. Organized by the Pro Loco of Sori in collaboration with Pastificio Novella, the festival is recognized among the Authentic Ligurian Events, a brand that promotes events most closely linked to the region's tradition.
Trofie Festival — edition 2026
The 39th edition of the Trofie Festival is expected on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in the pedestrian area of Sori. As tradition dictates, the festival begins in the late afternoon with the handmade trofie workshop, open to all, and continues with the opening of the food stalls.
The stars of the show are the trofie al pesto prepared with pasta from Pastificio Novella and the focaccette al formaggio. In the evening, music and shows animate the beach. The event, organized by the Pro Loco of Sori, is recognized as an Authentic Ligurian Event 2026.

The detailed 2026 program will be announced by the Pro Loco of Sori closer to the event. Based on recent editions, the day will include:
- Late afternoon (from approx. 5:00 PM) — handmade trofie workshop in the pedestrian area, with expert pasta makers
- From 7:00 PM — opening of the food stalls: trofie al pesto (pasta from Pastificio Novella) and focaccette al formaggio
- Evening (from approx. 9:00 PM) — concerts and shows on the beach
