A Tradition Over a Century Old

In Torlano, a hamlet of Nimis in the eastern hills of Friuli, spring brings one of the most beloved festivals in the area: the Traditional Easter and Easter Monday Celebrations. Its origins date back to 1922, when it all began with a few carafes of wine and a small kiosk; since then, the festival has grown to become one of the most important events of the year, known far beyond the borders of Friuli.

Dancing, Taste, and Open Skies

The event, organized by Pro Torlano in Piazza Chiesa, takes place over two weekends between Easter and the following days. The evenings are dedicated to dancing with live orchestras, while the youth tent offers DJ sets, hot dogs, and chips. There are also tastings of Ramandolo, the sweet DOCG wine from the hills of Nimis, and food and wine stalls with local specialties.

Among the most characteristic events are the paragliding exhibition that colors the skies above Torlano and the Easter Monday March, a non-competitive walk along the hilly trails, now in its several editions.
