Fresh pasta and hazelnut treats from the Tuscia region celebrate in Ronciglione
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Tortorello and Tozzetto Festival is a food and wine celebration that, in the heart of summer, honors two specialties of Ronciglione, an elegant village in the province of Viterbo, in the Tuscia region of Lazio. For three evenings, the historic center of the town, overlooking the Cimini Mountains and just a stone's throw from Lake Vico, transforms into a large open-air restaurant where you can taste traditional dishes among alleys, squares, and music.
The festival's name highlights its two main symbols, one savory and one sweet, both rooted in the local rural heritage:
The evening menu also offers appetizers featuring local cured meats and cheeses, for a culinary journey entirely rooted in the traditions of Tuscia.
The festival is more than just food: every evening, the historic center lights up with shows, live music, street bands, and DJ sets that animate the squares and alleys until late. There are also spaces dedicated to children's entertainment, making the event suitable for families. It is a community celebration, organized with the commitment of the Municipality of Ronciglione, the Pro Loco, and local associations, combining pride for local products with the joy of gathering together on August evenings.
The event finds its ideal setting in the historic center of Ronciglione, a village with intact charm that was elected Borgo dei Borghi (Village of Villages) in 2023. Strolling through its streets during the festival means discovering, beyond the flavors, the architectural and landscape heritage of this corner of the Viterbo Tuscia, among churches, palaces, and views of the green Cimini hills. An opportunity to combine the pleasure of good food with the discovery of a territory rich in history and traditions.
The Tortorello and Tozzetto Festival in Ronciglione, established in 2025, celebrates handmade fresh pasta and the typical hazelnut biscuit from the Cimini Mountains.
