The Romantic Night in the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy is a major nationwide event, established in 2016 by the I Borghi più belli d'Italia association. Every year, near the summer solstice, participating villages glow with soft lighting and transform into open-air settings dedicated to love, slow living, and the wonder of authentic places, featuring music, readings, dinners under the stars, and the symbolic midnight kiss in the squares.

In Borgo Valsugana, in the heart of Valsugana in Trentino (Autonomous Province of Trento), the event is promoted by the Municipality of Borgo Valsugana together with the Municipal Library, Artesella, and the APT Valsugana Lagorai, with the collaboration of the Pro Loco. The village participates as a member of the national association, bringing an original program to the valley that weaves together words, music, and flavors.

A village between river and mountains

Crossed by the Brenta river and surrounded by the peaks of the Lagorai, Borgo Valsugana preserves a compact historic center, made of porticoes, squares, and glimpses of water that, on the most romantic night of the year, become the natural stage for the event. Shop windows are decorated with a romantic theme, while spaces like the Town Hall Cloister, Piazza Dante, and Parco della Pace host the highlights of the evening.

Participation in the Romantic Night of Borgo Valsugana is free of charge. The initiative is part of a network of over two hundred Italian villages that, on the same night, celebrate love and the identity of small towns, making Valsugana the protagonist of an event that has become a classic of the Italian summer.
