Le vie dei popoli is one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Massa Lombarda, a municipality in Bassa Romagna in the province of Ravenna. The evening is part of the rich program "E...state a Massa", the calendar of events promoted by the Municipality together with cultural, sports, and volunteer associations of the area, which from June to September accompanies citizens and visitors throughout the summer season.

For one evening in mid-July, Piazza Matteotti and the historic center become the beating heart of the community: the streets of the town fill with music, colors, scents, and voices from different continents, in a celebration that honors the encounter between cultures and the idea that differences are a richness to be shared.

Music, flavors, and traditions

The evening is part of the Friday evening Market Festival format, adapted each time to a different theme. For "Le vie dei popoli", the common thread is multiculturalism: among the stalls and stands in the center, ethnic gastronomic offerings, live music, and entertainment moments invite the discovery of other countries without leaving Massa Lombarda.

A piece of the Massa summer

"Le vie dei popoli" is part of a series of themed evenings that mark the summer of Massa Lombarda with a weekly event: from the Paths of Art to the Paths of Engines, from the Paths of Games to the Paths of Talents, every Friday the center offers a different atmosphere. The festival also involves other symbolic places in the city, such as the Adolfo Bonvicini Fruitgrowing Museum, the Venturini Cultural Center, and the spaces of local associations.

Massa Lombarda, about 40 kilometers from Bologna and 30 from Ravenna, is a center in the Romagna plain that has been linked to the fruitgrowing tradition for over a century.
