For decades, Tempo Libero / Freizeit has been the most anticipated spring event in South Tyrol, showcasing the latest trends in holidays, sports, and outdoor living. Held at the Bolzano Exhibition Center (Messe Bozen) in Piazza Fiera and organized by Fiera Bolzano SpA, the event brings together hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors from across the region and beyond, uniting the best of the leisure industry under one roof.

The exhibition layout is divided into several thematic areas designed for every type of visitor:
- Camping & Caravan: campers, vans, caravans, tents, roof tents, and accessories from leading national and international brands;
- Holidays: travel destinations in Italy and abroad, seaside and mountain getaways, spas, wellness, slow tourism, and hiking trails;
- Sport & Outdoor: e-bikes, traditional bicycles, sportswear, mountain gear, and water sports equipment;
- Cars & Bike: cars, motorcycles, scooters, and mobility solutions;
- Garden & Home: garden furniture, play equipment, barbecues, home accessories, and gardening tools;
- Lifestyle: fashion, toys, gifts, DIY, modeling, and video games.
Interactive zones and special events
Beyond the stands, Tempo Libero offers highly popular interactive spaces. Alperia Sport Hero is a multi-station sports circuit where children, teens, and adults can try out various disciplines; the Gaming Court is dedicated to video games and esports; and the Streetwood – Food & Music Festival brings together food trucks from all over Italy, accompanied by live music and evening openings. The event also features a wide array of food and wine offerings, including local and Italian specialties, alongside the recent addition of the South Tyrolean independent publishing salon.

2026 Edition
From April 16 to 19, 2026, the Bolzano Exhibition Center hosted the 48th edition of Tempo Libero / Freizeit, with around 270 exhibitors spread across the Camping & Caravan, Holidays, Sport & Outdoor, Cars & Bike, Garden & Home, and Lifestyle sectors. The Camping & Caravan area featured over 40 brands across approximately 3,500 m², while the Holidays section showcased destinations ranging from the Canary Islands to Croatia, and Bavaria to Emilia-Romagna, with a special focus on slow tourism and hiking trails.
New features and interactive zones
Key highlights of the 48th edition included the debut of BookHive, a book fair dedicated to independent South Tyrolean publishing, and the Streetwood – Food & Music Festival, featuring food trucks from across Italy, live music, and extended evening hours until 10:00 PM on Thursday and Friday. Popular favorites such as Alperia Sport Hero, with its multi-station sports circuit, the Gaming Court, and gourmet tasting areas were all confirmed. Admission was free on Thursday, April 16, and Friday, April 17.

Opening hours
Pavilions are open from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The Streetwood – Food & Music Festival area remains open in the evening (until 10:00 PM).
How to get there
The fair is easily accessible by car (A22 motorway, Bolzano Sud exit) and by public transport. Your fair ticket serves as a free travel pass on all public transport throughout South Tyrol.
