Taranto's craft beer festival: beer, street food, and live music
In just a few years, the Taranto Beer Fest has become the most important beer-focused event in the Ionian region. Every summer, for four nights in August, the former Camper Area on Via Mascherpa, right in front of the PalaMazzola, transforms into a massive beer and street food village just a stone's throw from the center of Taranto, in Puglia. The 2026 edition marks the fourth year of the festival, organized by Athena APS in collaboration with Fiorino Srl and Buy&Go, with the patronage of the Municipality of Taranto, the Puglia Region, the Province of Taranto, and the Brindisi-Taranto Chamber of Commerce.
The heart of the festival is the spacious dining area, which offers approximately 1,500 seats and numerous stalls where you can sample over fifty types of beer on tap, both national and international, including gluten-free and non-alcoholic options. The beer is perfectly complemented by delicious street food: grilled meats, gourmet sandwiches, fresh fish, fried specialties, and the essential Puglian focacciaโa menu designed to satisfy every palate.
The Taranto Beer Fest is about more than just beer: every evening, the program features a show dedicated to children, with mascots and characters inspired by movies and TV series, followed by a live band concert and a DJ set, all in compliance with local noise ordinances. Play areas and entertainment for the little ones make the event perfect for families, while cabaret acts and folk music warm up the summer nights.
One of the festival's greatest strengths is its completely free admission, open to everyone with no obligation to purchase. To make getting there easier, the organizers provide a free shuttle service from the "Porte dello Jonio" shopping center parking lot, which has over 2,200 spaces. Additionally, the PalaMazzola square is reserved for free parking for motorcycles, people with disabilities, and mothers with young children. This model has turned the Taranto Beer Fest into an inclusive, popular celebration that draws thousands of visitors from across the province every night.
The Taranto Beer Fest 2026, the fourth edition of the event, is confirmed for August 6-9, 2026, at the former Camper Area on Via Mascherpa, opposite the PalaMazzola. Four evenings with over 50 types of beer on tap, numerous street food stalls, and approximately 1,500 seats in the dining area.
The formula remains the same each night: a show dedicated to children with mascots and TV characters, a live band concert, and a DJ set. Admission is completely free, with a shuttle service available from the "Porte dello Jonio" shopping center parking lot.
