About TAP

Two days of gravel riding across white roads, dirt tracks, and mountain trails in the Pinerolo region, based at the Il Podio Sports Center in Porte (Turin). TAP - Tutti a Pinerolo! is a non-competitive cycling rally with no timers or rankings: you ride following GPS tracks, choosing each day between an easy 50 km route and a challenging 90 km one. At the base camp, fatigue melts away into the party, featuring craft beer, local food, music, and plenty of laughs in a convivial atmosphere open to gravel, MTB, and e-bike enthusiasts.

A gravel adventure in the Pinerolo area

TAP - Tutti a Pinerolo! is a non-competitive gravel cycling rally that invites two-wheel enthusiasts to discover the valleys of the Pinerolo area in Piedmont. The event, organized by Torino Bike Experience ASD in the municipality of Porte, in the Province of Turin, was born from the desire to offer an adventure that makes participants feel like they are in the high mountains, during that seasonal limbo when the great Alpine passes are still closed. No official rankings, no timed laps: the approach is entirely focused on cycle tourism and the experience of the route.

The Base Camp in Porte

The beating heart of the event is the Base Camp set up at the Il Podio Sports Center, in the Malanaggio area of Porte, where the start and finish lines are located each day. The base camp remains active from Friday evening until Sunday and hosts a tent area, van and camper area, covered bivouac, and food court. This is where, as the organizers love to say, fatigue melts away into the party: craft beer poured by local producers, good local food, music, and lots of laughter accompany the evenings and recovery moments between rides.

Routes across white roads and mountain passes

The tracks, created by local bikers and available in GPS format, wind along white roads, dirt tracks, and mountain trails suitable for gravel bikes, MTBs, e-gravel, and e-MTBs. Each day offers two parallel itineraries, which can be selected on the morning of the event:

  • Difficult track: approximately 90 km with 2,000 meters of elevation gain, for those looking for more technical and demanding sections;
  • Easy track: approximately 50 km with 1,000 meters of elevation gain, ideal for a moderate ride on dirt roads.

The tracks reach altitudes of up to 1,600 meters, offering views of the Pinerolo mountains without having to tackle the still-snowy Alpine passes. Sunday is dedicated to the queen stage, featuring the Colle della Vaccera and Colle Lazzarà at an altitude of 1,595 meters.

A community event

Designed for amateur cyclists and enthusiasts, TAP is above all an event of sharing: you ride together, stop to recover energy with pre-departure breakfast and ice cream along the route, and end the day at the base camp. The event, officially presented at the Cuneo Bike Festival, enjoys the support of Turismo Torino e Provincia and the komoot platform, confirming its bond with the Piedmontese territory and the gravel culture that is growing throughout Italy.
