Sunset Concert

A concert at sundown on the Costa dei Trabocchi

The Sunset Concert is one of the most anticipated highlights of the summer in Casalbordino, a town in the province of Chieti overlooking the Adriatic along the famous Costa dei Trabocchi, in Abruzzo. Organized by the Pro Loco of Casalbordino with the support of the local municipality, the event brings live music to the seaside in the setting of Piazzale Aldo Moro, in the Casalbordino Lido area, just as the sun begins to set over the sea horizon.

A format designed to showcase the local area

Reaching its third edition in 2025, the Sunset Concert has quickly established itself as a defining moment of the Casalbordino summer. The formula is simple and engaging: an open-air stage, free admission, and a lineup that highlights bands and musicians from the Vasto and Abruzzo regions, all within a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere. The backdrop of the sunset over the Adriatic gives the evening a unique charm, highly appreciated by both locals and visitors spending their holidays on the coast.

Past editions and musical variety

Over the years, the event has featured a diverse range of genres, spanning from traditional Abruzzese music to rock and blues:

• The early editions also showcased folk music and local traditions;
• In 2024, the stage hosted the band Falcone e i maledetti;
• In 2025, the spotlight was on the Reservoir Dogs, a local rock-blues group.
