Summer Solstice Festival at the Valtrigona WWF Oasis

A festival dedicated to light and the mountains

The Summer Solstice Festival at the Valtrigona WWF Oasis is a nature-focused event celebrating the longest day of the year in the heart of the Lagorai range, located in the municipality of Telve, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Organized by the Valtrigona WWF Oasis committee, the day brings together members, friends, and families to welcome the solstice in one of the most picturesque alpine landscapes in Valsugana.

The Valtrigona WWF Oasis

The event takes place at high altitude, near Malga Valtrighetta, within the Valtrigona WWF Oasis: 236 hectares of protected wilderness ranging from 1,600 to 2,200 meters above sea level, between Cima Pastronezza and Cima Agnelezza. As the first alpine oasis established by the WWF, it is now a Special Protection Area, home to spruce, larch, and stone pine forests, as well as precious wildlife including chamois, marmots, black grouse, and capercaillie.

The day's program

The program alternates between three workshops, outdoor breaks, and a shared buffet lunch in a spirit of conviviality:

• Sun Salutation with instructor Sara Ubbiali: morning yoga in the meadow to welcome the solstice with mindful breathing and movement;
• Botanical walk focusing on medicinal herbs with naturopath Francesca Zeni, exploring the wild herbs of the pastures and traditional mountain knowledge;
• Discovering bees and pollinators with beekeeper Francesco Mezzo, to understand why the June bloom is so vital for these essential insects.

An experience for the whole family

The festival is designed as a day immersed in nature, suitable for families with children. Admission is free, with voluntary donations accepted to support the Oasis's activities. Registration for the workshops is recommended to help organizers plan effectively. It is an authentic way to rediscover your connection to the Trentino mountains at their brightest, far from the crowds and in close contact with the alpine environment.
