A summer festival under the stars in Livorno

Summer at Villa Trossi is one of the most anticipated and long-standing cultural events of the Livorno summer. Every year, from mid-June to the end of August, the garden of Villa Trossi at Via Ravizza 76 transforms into an open-air stage that welcomes a large audience every evening, offering one of the richest and most extensive programs in all of Tuscany. The festival is organized by the Trossi-Uberti Art Foundation, conceived by the Pietro Napoli Association, and is held under the patronage of the Municipality of Livorno and the Tuscany Region, with artistic direction by Roberto Napoli.

A multidisciplinary program

The strength of Summer at Villa Trossi lies in the variety of its program. The evenings range from musical concerts of every genre — from classical to pop, jazz to soul, film scores to the atmospheres of tango, swing, and singer-songwriter music, as well as traditional music and flamenco — to a wide range of theatrical performances: drama, comedy, cabaret, Livorno dialect theater, musical theater, musicals, dance, and magic shows. There are also productions dedicated to literature and science, which enrich the schedule with talks and discussions.

The twelfth edition

The 2026 edition marks the twelfth season of the festival and spans approximately fifty evenings, from June 20 to August 30. Among the announced titles, the audience can look forward to Mario Menicagli's one-man show on July 7, dedicated to two opera masterpieces, Tosca and Turandot, while July 8 will feature the Route 66, music on the road concert. Among the free-admission events, the STEAM Night stands out, a talk show featuring experts in scientific and technological disciplines.
