Four mornings for families amidst nature, games, and relaxation in Casola Valsenio
In Casola Valsenio, a small Apennine municipality in the province of Ravenna, the "Augusto Rinaldi Ceroni" Herb Garden houses hundreds of species of medicinal, aromatic, and herbal plants cultivated since the last century. It is in this green corner of Emilia-Romagna, overlooking the Senio valley, that Summer at the Herb Garden comes to life: a series of mornings designed for families with children aged 0 to 11, accompanied by parents and grandparents.
The initiative unfolds over four consecutive mornings, every Tuesday in June from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It's not a program of shows, but an invitation to slow down: the garden becomes a space for meeting, playing, and sharing immersed in nature, where one can rediscover the pleasure of "doing and being together" outdoors.
June is the month when the garden turns purple: lavender, the symbol of the Herb Garden with its numerous cultivars, reaches its peak intensity of color and scent around the summer solstice. It's the ideal setting for a gentle sensory experience, suitable even for the youngest.
The event is promoted by the Family Centre of the Union of Romagna Faentina in collaboration with the Parks and Biodiversity Authority of Romagna, with the aim of dedicating time and space to the well-being of family relationships in the greenery of the Romagna Apennines. Participation is free with mandatory registration.
