The vintage car and motorcycle rally between Pietraperzia and Barrafranca
The Strade d'Altri Tempi Rally is an event dedicated to historic vehicles that brings the center of Pietraperzia, a small town in the province of Enna in the heart of Sicily, to life every year. Launched in 2025, the event is organized by the Enzo Giuliana Vintage Motor Club with the patronage of the municipalities of Pietraperzia and Barrafranca, and in just a few editions, it has already become a benchmark for historic motoring enthusiasts across the island.
The rally brings together dozens of vintage vehicles: historic cars, motorcycles, Vespas, and Lambrettas from numerous Sicilian clubs. The first edition saw over one hundred vehicles take part, a sign of the enthusiasm that continues to grow. The vehicles parade through the town streets and travel along the scenic road connecting Pietraperzia to Barrafranca, offering residents and visitors an authentic trip down memory lane.
The event's format combines the pleasure of vintage driving with the discovery of the local area. The day begins with the gathering and registration in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, continues with a scenic tour and a stop in Barrafranca, and concludes with a convivial lunch, vehicle exhibition, and awards for various vehicle categories. A jury evaluates the oldest, rarest, best-preserved, and sportiest vehicles, keeping the culture of collecting alive.
An ideal event for those who love historic engines and wish to discover the authenticity of inland Sicily, far from the most beaten tourist paths, amidst the traditions and hospitality of the small towns in the Enna area.
The second edition of the Strade d'Altri Tempi Rally was held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, confirming the success of the previous year's debut. The event enlivened the center of Pietraperzia and also involved the nearby town of Barrafranca, along an itinerary that united the two towns in the province of Enna.
The day alternated between technical and convivial moments: from the morning gathering in the square to the scenic tour, followed by the vehicle exhibition and evening awards. Among the novelties of this edition was the raffle of a Piaggio Ciao moped for ticket-holding participants.
