SS. Peter and Paul Festival

A village feast serving the community

The SS. Peter and Paul Festival is the patronal event of Roncegno Terme, a town in the Valsugana valley in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). The event is dedicated to the saints Peter and Paul, the town's patrons, whose feast day falls on June 29th. It is organized by the Roncegno Volunteer Fire Brigade, which turns the celebration into a gathering for the entire community and an opportunity to raise funds to support their service.

Gastronomy and conviviality

At the heart of the festival is conviviality: the culinary offerings are simple and genuine, featuring traditional Trentino dishes and street food prepared by the volunteer firefighters themselves. You will find polenta, fried specialties, sandwiches, and other delicacies served at the stands set up at the fire station. Every evening, the festival comes alive with music: from performances for those who love tradition, with vocal groups and accordions for ballroom dancing, to DJ sets designed for a younger audience.

Demonstrations and activities for children

One of the defining elements of this festival is its bond with the world of the fire brigade. During the event, there are demonstrations by the teams, activities to introduce children to the work of firefighters, and games for all ages, including the ever-popular raffle. The celebration is accompanied by the Solemn Holy Mass held on June 29th in the parish church of Saints Peter and Paul.

A charity-focused event

All proceeds from the event are used to support the volunteer work of the Roncegno fire brigade, from training to the purchase of equipment. Participating in the festival means experiencing a local tradition while concretely supporting those who serve the Valsugana territory every day.
