Spring Festival in Rolo

A day of celebration to welcome spring

The Spring Festival in Rolo is the event that annually greets the arrival of the good season in the small Municipality of Rolo, in the province of Reggio Emilia, in the heart of the Bassa reggiana area in Emilia-Romagna. For an entire day, the town center transforms into a large festive space, where streets and squares fill with colors, scents, and a convivial atmosphere typical of the Reggiana tradition.

Stalls, flowers, and food

The heart of the event is the main square, enlivened throughout the day by craft stalls and exhibitors offering local products, handicrafts, and flowers. It's the ideal occasion for a stroll among the stands, discovering local excellences, and indulging in a delicious break with the food offerings that scent the air.

An event for the whole family

The Spring Festival is designed for all ages: children have dedicated games, entertainment, and many surprises, while adults can enjoy shopping among the stalls and the conviviality of the squares. The flowers and colors of the season provide the backdrop for a day of outdoor recreation that involves the entire community.

Organization and territory

The event is promoted by the Municipality of Rolo and managed by the volunteer association Roloinfesta OdV, in collaboration with local associations, including the Associazione Pescatori del Lago Rubona. Roloinfesta is the same association that manages the town's event calendar, from the gastronomic review "I Primi di Rolo" to the summer events of "E...state a Rolo," up to the historic San Simone Fair in autumn.

Rolo is a village in the Emilian plain on the border with the province of Modena and Lombardy, known for its artisanal tradition, particularly wood inlay work. The Spring Festival is a simple and authentic way to discover this corner of the Bassa and experience the welcoming spirit of the Rolo community.
