Two days of markets, street food, and music in the heart of Gonars
When the first warm days arrive in the Bassa Friulana, Gonars opens its town center to one of the most anticipated festivals of the local calendar. The Spring Festival, organized by the Pro Loco of Gonars with the support of the Municipality, is an event designed for all ages: families, young people, and curious passers-by gather in the streets of the village for two days of flavors, music, and outdoor fun.
The heart of the event is the large market that invades the streets of the center: stalls from traveling vendors, craftspeople, zero-km stands with local agricultural products, exhibitors, and information points. An ideal walk to discover the crafts and gastronomic excellences of the Friulian plain, between Udine and the lagoons of Grado and Marano.
The food and wine tradition is not lacking: alongside street food, there are the Pro Loco's stalls with typical Friulian dishes, from gnocchi to frico, from goulash to wurstel. Aperitifs and tastings accompany the entire day, in a convivial atmosphere that is the hallmark of Friuli's village festivals.
The afternoons and evenings are marked by live music, DJ sets in the squares and venues, dance performances, and entertainment. Among the most popular attractions are the games and rides for the little ones, tournaments, and, to close the festival, the tombola (bingo) with a rich prize pool, the real highlight of Sunday evening.
The Spring Festival takes place "rain or shine": it is a demonstration of the community spirit that animates the Pro Loco and the many volunteers of Gonars. A simple and genuine opportunity to experience the most authentic Friuli, that of villages that know how to celebrate together.
The Spring Festival 2026 takes place on Saturday, April 11th, and Sunday, April 12th, in the center of Gonars. The streets come alive starting in the morning with the market stalls, zero-km stands, craftspeople, and information points, while the Pro Loco's food stalls offer traditional Friulian dishes.
Throughout the two days, there will be alternating DJ sets in the squares and venues, dance performances, motorcycle gatherings, and tournaments. The most anticipated moment remains the Sunday evening tombola, with a prize pool of approximately 1,500 euros.
The detailed schedule will be published on the official channels of Pro Loco Gonars in the weeks preceding the event.
