Wine, taste, and music under the stars in Poggio Imperiale
Sorsi di Luna is the summer food and wine highlight in Poggio Imperiale, a small town in the Alto Tavoliere area of Foggia, at the foot of the Gargano. Every August, the historic center comes alive for an evening, turning into a long open-air tasting trail. Winery stands, food corners, live music, and works by local artists line Corso Vittorio Veneto and the village squares, offering a gourmet stroll that, as the event's motto says, "tells the story of the real Puglia."
The format is that of a traveling tasting: with a personalized glass and holder, visitors move between winery stations to choose their preferred wines, paired with local delicacies offered at the food corners. The event blends oenology, gastronomy, and culture, with art merging into the tasting experience through paintings displayed along the route and insights into the world of wine.
Sorsi di Luna is part of the Heritage Wine Fest, a traveling festival organized by One Eventi that visits villages and castles between Puglia and Molise throughout July and August, with the patronage of Pugliapromozione and the Province of Foggia. Alongside Poggio Imperiale, the calendar includes towns such as Termoli, Manfredonia, Torremaggiore, San Nicandro Garganico, Campomarino, Serracapriola, and Bovino, each hosting its own evening dedicated to wine and local excellence.
The evening focuses on an intimate and convivial atmosphere: the lights of the historic center, live music, art installations, and tastings make Sorsi di Luna a community event that attracts visitors from neighboring towns in the Capitanata region. For Poggio Imperiale, a village founded in the 18th century and linked to Prince Placido Imperiale, it is also an opportunity to showcase its squares and historic fabric through the universal language of wine and food.
For 2026, Sorsi di Luna is confirmed in Poggio Imperiale (FG) for Saturday, August 8, starting at 9:00 PM along Corso Vittorio Veneto and the historic center. The evening is part of the Heritage Wine Fest circuit by One Eventi, which visits various villages between Puglia and Molise in the summer of 2026.
The format includes the usual tasting trail with a personalized glass, food corners with local products, live music, and art installations in the town center. The winery lineup, detailed schedule, and any masterclasses will be published by the organizers as the date approaches: this page will be updated as soon as the full program is announced.
Poggio Imperiale is located in the Alto Tavoliere, in the province of Foggia, near the border with Molise. By car, it can be reached via the A14 motorway (Poggio Imperiale exit) and the SS16 Adriatica state road. The Poggio Imperiale station is served by the Adriatic railway line.
Admission to the evening is free. For tastings, you can purchase a dedicated ticket through One Eventi, which includes a selection of samples from the participating wineries along with a personalized glass and holder.
This is an outdoor evening event in the historic center: comfortable clothing is recommended for walking between the stations. Info and pre-sales: [email protected], tel. +39 347 2221429.
