Sondrio Natale is the grand programme of events that transforms the centre of Sondrio, the capital of Valtellina, into a charming Christmas village every winter. From its opening in late November until Epiphany, the city fills with lights, markets, and initiatives designed to experience the magic of Christmas together, in a warm and festive atmosphere.

The ice rink and the lights

The heart of the celebration is Piazza Garibaldi, where the ice rink is set up, an attraction loved by children and teenagers. Over 200 light installations illuminate the streets and squares of the centre, creating fairy-tale scenes that invite you to stroll and breathe in the Christmas atmosphere.

Markets and shows

On December weekends, the markets liven up Piazza Garibaldi, the Gardens of Piazza V Alpini, and Via Roma, offering artisan products, gift ideas, and gastronomic specialities. The programme is enriched with shows, concerts, and the traditional Santa Claus tour, to the delight of the little ones.
