The festival of solidarity economy at Fattoria di Vigheffio, in Collecchio
Solidalia is the festival of the solidarity economy in the Parma area: a spring event that transforms the Fattoria Mario Tommasini in Vigheffio, a hamlet in the Municipality of Collecchio in the province of Parma, into a large open-air square dedicated to a different way of producing, consuming, and being together. Promoted by DES Parma - Distretto di Economia Solidale together with the social cooperative Emc2 and local associations, the event has grown edition after edition to become one of the reference events for the solidarity economy in Emilia-Romagna.
The heart of the festival is the solidarity economy market, with over eighty stands bringing together farmers, artisans, organic producers, and third-sector organizations. It is an opportunity to meet the people behind an ethical and sustainable agri-food supply chain, made up of local, organic, and quality products, and to buy directly from producers.
In addition to the market, Solidalia offers a packed program of meetings and debates with experts on solidarity economy, environment, critical consumption, ethical finance, and rights, alongside self-production workshops designed for adults and children. There are also shows: concerts, theatrical performances, and entertainment for families, all accompanied by catering that highlights organic foods and local products.
Each year, the festival chooses a central theme to guide its content, from peace to the care of communities and territories. Solidalia is much more than a fair: it is a space where concrete experiences of solidarity, renewable energy, peasant agriculture, and ethical finance are shared and networked, in dialogue with the Municipalities and institutions of the Parma area and the entire Emilia-Romagna region.
The fifth edition of Solidalia chose the theme "Care", understood as care for people, the environment, democracy, and community relationships. At the Fattoria Mario Tommasini in Vigheffio, Collecchio (Parma), around 80 stands of organic producers and artisans complemented a rich program of meetings, debates, workshops, theater, and music. The event, promoted by DES Parma, confirmed its role as a reference point for the solidarity economy in Emilia-Romagna.
For both days: market with about 80 exhibitors (farmers, artisans, organic producers), self-production workshops, family activities, and catering with organic and local products.
