Music, sport, and conviviality at Parco Augusto Daolio in Novellara
The Sip & Sound Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the spring-summer season in Novellara, a municipality in the Province of Reggio Emilia, in the Bassa reggiana area of Emilia-Romagna. The free-entry event transforms Parco Augusto Daolio for an afternoon into a meeting point for music, sport, games, and conviviality, designed for young people but open to families and the entire community.
More than just a concert, Sip & Sound is a modern village festival that puts young people and local associations at its center. The park's skate park becomes the stage for skaters and riders, while board games, recreational activities, and social moments come to life on the lawns. The format is that of a widespread festival: people stroll, listen to music, play sports, and stop by the Pro Loco stand for an aperitif.
The festival is dedicated to the memory of Alessandro Santachiara, a figure beloved by the Novellara community: the connection to his memory gives the event a meaning that goes beyond mere entertainment. Alongside the program, there are information booths from local associations (ADMO, Associazione Diabetici Area Nord, AUSL) and health awareness initiatives, such as free HIV testing.
The Sip & Sound Festival is organized by the Pro Loco of Novellara in collaboration with the Municipality of Novellara and numerous local associations, demonstrating how volunteer work and institutions can jointly create a free, high-quality event for the entire community.
The Sip & Sound Festival 2026 returned to Parco Augusto Daolio in Novellara on Sunday, May 31, confirming its formula of a free festival open to young people, families, and the entire community. From 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the park hosted music, sports, and games, in an afternoon once again dedicated to the memory of Alessandro Santachiara.
The skate park was enlivened by skater and rider exhibitions, while the DJ set accompanied the public until the end. There were also board games and recreational activities, the refreshment area managed by the Pro Loco, and information booths from local associations, with health awareness initiatives.
One day, usually in the late afternoon (approximately from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM-9:00 PM) between late spring and early summer.
