Sferafest — Festival on information, geopolitics and climate

A new festival for Forlì

Sferafest is the new festival dedicated to responsible information, geopolitics, climate and participation debuting in 2026 in Forlì, a university city in the province of Forlì-Cesena in Emilia-Romagna. The event is born from the collaboration between the association Olvidados Aps, the student collective Volume Campus and LifeGate, a multimedia platform that for over twenty-five years has been a reference point in Italy for environmental sustainability and ecological information.

The theme of the 2026 edition

The first edition revolves around the theme «Taking Part: biosphere, socioshere, geosphere». The ambition is to become an annual event capable of placing Forlì among the Italian cities that invest creatively in the culture of sustainability, dissemination, and the participation of new generations.

Where and when

The festival opens Thursday, June 11 with a preview in Cesena, at the Chiosco dei Giardini Savelli, and continues Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13 in the Park of the University Campus of Forlì, in Piazzale Igino Lega, in the heart of the historic center. For two days, the park transforms into a meeting and discussion space open to the entire community.

Program and guests

The program intertwines geopolitics talks, live podcasts, workshops, labs, cultural activities, and convivial moments. Among the announced guests are Dario Fabbri with a geopolitics talk, Giovanni Mori with the live episode of the LifeGate podcast «News from Planet Earth», Matteo Serra and Valerio Moggia with the podcast «Sport is Politics», as well as Duccio Facchini (Altreconomia), Luigi Mastrodonato and Davide Piscitelli of Forensic Architecture, and also Camilla Soldati, Matteo Serra, Mattia Iannantuoni and Alice Pomiato.

Admission and spirit of the festival

All events are free admission. Sferafest focuses on greenery, socialization, and quality debate, with the aim of bringing students and citizens closer to the major issues of current affairs in an informal and open atmosphere, in the green setting of the Forlì Campus.
