Three days of rock music, tribute bands, and local flavors at Parco San Rocco in Serrone
The Serrone Rock Festival is the premier rock event of the summer in Ciociaria. For three days, Parco San Rocco in Serrone, in the heart of the Frosinone province, transforms into an open-air stage hosting twelve bands—four per night—featuring both original music and tribute acts dedicated to the legends of rock history. Organized by the Serrone Rock Festival Association, the event debuted in August 2023 under the patronage of the Lazio Region and the Municipality of Serrone, returning in the summer of 2026 for its third edition after a one-year break.
The format remains the same as the debut: each night, the stage features a mix of bands performing original tracks and nationally acclaimed tribute acts. The 2026 lineup includes Supersonic, cited by Rolling Stone Italia as one of the best Italian tributes to Oasis; the Sandmen, a Metallica tribute praised by the band themselves; and the legendary Pino Scotto, former frontman of Vanadium and an authentic icon of Italian rock and heavy metal. Alongside them, emerging local groups take the stage, confirming the festival's mission: to provide a real platform for those who write and play rock music.
The Serrone Rock Festival is designed as a celebration for the entire community. The park area features food stalls with beer and cocktails, themed markets, and a kids' area, making the event family-friendly. Since its inception, the organizers have aimed to promote local craftsmanship and products alongside the music, turning the festival into a showcase for the region as well as a musical event.
A key soul of the festival is the world of two wheels: motorcycle groups benefit from a dedicated parking area, dining discounts, and free camping in a designated zone. Those who want to fully immerse themselves in the festival can also take advantage of free camping on Saturday night, waking up directly in the greenery of Parco San Rocco.
Serrone is a village nestled on the slopes of Monte Scalambra, on the border between the province of Frosinone and the Ernici Mountains. It is known for its production of Cesanese wine—celebrated every year by a historic festival—and as one of the most popular Italian destinations for paragliding and hang gliding. The festival is also the perfect opportunity to discover this authentic corner of Lazio, with its stunning views, wineries, and mountain trails, just an hour's drive from Rome.
After a one-year break, the Serrone Rock Festival returns to Parco San Rocco in Serrone for its third edition, scheduled from Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26, 2026. Three evenings aimed at uniting music, community, and the spirit of freedom, attracting fans from all over Ciociaria and beyond.
The lineup confirms the event's classic formula: four bands each night, alternating between original music and tributes to rock giants. From the Dire Straits tribute by the Wild West Band to the energy of High Voltage (AC/DC), from the Sandmen—a Metallica tribute praised by the band itself—to the Supersonic, cited by Rolling Stone Italia as one of the best Italian Oasis tributes, and the Mojo Riders dedicated to The Doors. The grand finale on Sunday features Pino Scotto, the historic voice of Vanadium and an icon of Italian rock and heavy metal.
In the park area: food stalls with beer and cocktails, themed markets, a kids' area for families, and a space dedicated to bikers, with motorcycle parking, dining discounts, and free camping in the area designated by the organizers. On Saturday, July 25, camping is free for everyone during the event night.
