Scurpelle, a taste of tradition
In Fossalto, in the province of Campobasso, the Scurpelle Festival celebrates one of the most beloved specialties of Molise peasant cuisine. Scurpelle are thin and tender fried pastries, prepared according to recipes passed down through generations, an expression of the poor and ingenious tradition of the villages of upper Molise.
