The festival that kicks off the summer on the Brolo seafront
As the sun begins to warm the Tyrrhenian coast, the promenade of Brolo, in the province of Messina, comes alive with Scialamuni, the festival that has chosen the first days of June to officially kick off the Sicilian summer. Organized by the Olimpia Association with the support of the municipal administration, the event has established itself since its first edition as one of the most anticipated gatherings on the Nebrodi coast, drawing thousands of people to the beach.
The heart of Scialamuni is music. On the stage set up just a few steps from the shoreline, national headliners and a large group of over sixteen Sicilian DJs take turns at the console from the afternoon until late at night. The program ranges from house and pop to reggaeton and the hottest summer sounds, guiding the audience through a long party that blends entertainment, spectacle, and the joy of being together.
Alongside the music, Scialamuni offers a vast street food village: gourmet sandwiches, local specialties, craft beers, and cocktails create a culinary trail designed to savor the local tradition with music in the background. The stands animate the entire promenade from early afternoon until evening, in a seaside village atmosphere that engages families, young people, and tourists alike.
More than just a party, Scialamuni acts as a platform capable of combining entertainment, tourism, communication, and local development. The event brings tangible benefits to the commercial activities of Brolo and neighboring towns, and helps promote the image of the Tyrrhenian coast of Messina at the start of the summer season. To facilitate participation, in past editions, a dedicated bus service was also activated to and from numerous centers in the area, from Messina to Capo d'Orlando.
Overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and dominated by its medieval castle, Brolo is one of the most popular seaside resorts in the Nebrodi district. Its wide, central beach is the natural setting for Scialamuni: a stage by the sea that makes the festival a perfect calling card for the start of summer in Sicily.
The second edition of Scialamuni took place on June 1st and 2nd, 2026, on the Brolo seafront, confirming and surpassing the success of its debut. Thousands of people enlivened the beach for two days of music, entertainment, and flavors, with extensive social media visibility and tangible benefits for local businesses.
The evening of Monday, June 1st featured DJ Andrea Damante, joined by Dario Cerrito Live, Bomby, SK, Tommaso Marraffa, Simon Lebon, Peppe Scaffidi, and Marco Bruno, with vocals by Enrico Della Chiesa. Tuesday, June 2nd was the turn of singer Sarah Toscano with the Kilimangiaro Band, followed by a long DJ set with Ruggero Scaffidi, Andrea Bruno, Cristiano Rigoli, Matteo Palmeri, Valerio Cafeo, Cesare Scaffidi, Antonio Bonina, and Ice Shark. Completing the evenings, the street food village offered gourmet sandwiches, local specialties, craft beers, and cocktails.

By car: A20 Messina-Palermo motorway, exit Brolo-Capo d'Orlando, then SS113. By train: Brolo-Capo d'Orlando station on the Messina-Palermo line, a short distance from the promenade. In past editions, a dedicated bus service was organized to and from many towns in the area (Messina, Milazzo, Barcellona, Patti, Sant'Agata Militello, Capo d'Orlando, and others).
Free entry to all evenings.
The event takes place on the beach from the afternoon until late at night: wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for sand. Reservations for the food stands and exhibition spaces are managed by the organization.
