For two consecutive weekends, the Piazza della Chiesa becomes the beating heart of the village, filled with long tables, the aromas of Tuscan cuisine, and music late into the night. For years, this festival has served as the grand finale of the long summer season in Vinci, celebrating the arrival of the grape harvest.

A sweet treat that tells the story of the harvest

The undisputed star is the schiacciata con l'uva, a humble and ancient sweet from the Tuscan peasant tradition: a leavened flatbread topped with black grapes (often the Canaiolo variety), sugar, and a drizzle of olive oil. Originally a snack for grape harvesters, it is now a seasonal icon. In Vitolini, you can enjoy it in its most authentic version, prepared according to traditional home recipes.

Food stalls and themed dinners

The festival is organized by the Compagnia degli Ortacci A.S.D., a local association that has been managing the event with passion for many years. The format alternates between evenings dedicated to full-course dinners featuring traditional Tuscan menus and more casual aperitifs and food stalls open from the afternoon. Signature dishes include the Ortacci appetizers, pasta, rabbit and fried chicken with potatoes, and, of course, the schiacciata con l'uva paired with Vinsanto wine.

Every evening offers a unique atmosphere: from swing to country music, and from themed dinners with karaoke to classic aperitif nights in the square.
