Sapori in Campo: The flavors of the Southern Pontine area in Campodimele

«Sapori in Campo» is the premier food and wine event in Campodimele, a small town perched on the Monti Aurunci in the province of Latina, Lazio. Every summer, the event turns the village's historic center into a grand tasting trail dedicated to local excellence, attracting visitors from across the Southern Pontine region and beyond. In 2026, the festival reaches its fourth edition, scheduled for Thursday, July 23rd, starting at 8:00 PM.

A journey through the village alleys

For one night, the alleys and squares of Campodimele's historic center come alive with approximately 50 exhibitors spread across 40 stands, covering an area of over 2,000 square meters. Visitors traverse the village as if on a culinary itinerary, meeting producers, food artisans, and wineries that showcase the biodiversity and traditional knowledge of a territory bridging the Tyrrhenian coast and the Aurunci hinterland.

Alongside the promotion of local flavors, «Sapori in Campo» highlights an important social project: the LiberAutismo association participates with its food truck and the «SpritzAut» initiative, which offers people with autism concrete opportunities for social participation and independence, allowing them to play an active role during the evening. It is a model that unites food culture with community cohesion.

Campodimele, the town of longevity

Campodimele is famous as one of the "towns of longevity." Its quality of life, healthy diet, and deep connection to the nature of the Monti Aurunci Regional Natural Park make it a symbol of well-being and the Mediterranean diet. «Sapori in Campo» tells this very story, transforming it into a driver for sustainable economic and tourism development for the entire municipality and the Southern Lazio region.

An event promoted by the community

The event is promoted by the Municipality of Campodimele together with the Pro Loco Campodimele, with the support of the Lazio Region, the Frosinone-Latina Chamber of Commerce, and the Monti Aurunci Regional Natural Park, and with the patronage of organizations such as Slow Food. It is a collaborative effort that renews the village's most anticipated summer appointment every year.
