The Pineto neighborhood festival featuring live music, street food, and evenings under the stars
"Santa Maria a Valle Festival" is the event that brings the neighborhood of the same name to life every summer in Pineto, in the province of Teramo, on the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. The heart of the celebrations is Via Cuba, in the Quartiere delle Nazioni, where for two consecutive nights you can soak up an authentic local festival atmosphere, filled with music, great food, and a sense of community.
The festival's hallmark is its ability to bring nationally renowned artists to a residential neighborhood, with all concerts featuring free admission. In recent years, the stage set up along Via Cuba has hosted well-known names, turning the small square into a true open-air venue packed until late at night. The evenings begin at sunset and continue with live music ranging from Italian pop to hits that get every generation dancing.
Alongside the music, the food stalls are the absolute stars: arrosticini, porchetta, fried fish, burgers, and rivers of beer accompany the evenings from early on. It is the perfect opportunity to savor traditional Teramo dishes in a convivial setting, among neighbors, tourists, and enthusiasts arriving from neighboring towns.
Behind the organization is the Santa Maria a Valle Festival Committee, which, with the support of the Municipality of Pineto, involves residents, volunteers, and local businesses. This spirit of participation makes the event a symbol of the vitality of the Pineto area: a grassroots festival that has grown year after year to become one of the highlights of the Pineto summer, included in the rich "Pineto Summer" program alongside the many events that enliven the town, Scerne, Mutignano, and Borgo Santa Maria until September.
The 2026 edition of the Santa Maria a Valle Festival confirms the winning formula of two summer nights in the Via Cuba neighborhood of Pineto. The event is one of the highlights of the "Pineto Summer 2026" program, which accompanies residents and tourists with over one hundred events until September 27.
The big headliner announced is the concert by Matia Bazar, scheduled for August 7 at Santa Maria a Valle: the historic Italian band will bring their timeless hits to the Pineto stage for a free-admission evening. As per tradition, food stalls open at 7:00 PM with arrosticini, porchetta, fried fish, and beer, while concerts kick off at 9:30 PM.
The full program for the second evening will be communicated through the official channels of the Municipality of Pineto and Visit Pineto.
