In the heart of the Abruzzo winter, the village of Sant'Onofrio — a small hamlet in the municipality of Campli, in the province of Teramo — transforms into a cheerful stage dedicated to the little ones. The Sant'Onofrio Carnival is a costume party designed for children and families, a much-anticipated event that fills the Carnival afternoon with colors, confetti, and laughter every year.

The event is organized by the Pro Loco Sant'Onofrio e Dintorni with the patronage of the Municipality of Campli, and it takes place indoors at the School Sports Hall in the Marrocchi area. This choice ensures that children can have fun in complete safety even when the February weather is unkind, providing a large, heated space for games and entertainment.

An afternoon of bouncy castles, music, and comedy

The program is tailor-made for children: bouncy castles for jumping and climbing, kids' dance parties with music and group dances, comedy sketches, games, and plenty of entertainment provided by professional children's entertainers. There is also a snack time, offered free of charge to the little ones, while a bar and buffet service are available for adults.

It is one of those simple, genuine village festivals that keep the Carnival tradition alive in the small communities of the Teramo hinterland: no glitz, just plenty of enthusiasm, homemade costumes, and the participation of the Pro Loco volunteers who bring the area to life all year round.
