A Fair of Tradition
The Sant'Anna Fair in Filignano, in the province of Isernia, is a traditional fair held at the end of July, around the 25th and 26th of the month. It is part of those ancient village fairs that have marked the calendar of seasons and community life in the villages of upper Molise for generations.
Market and Local Products
The fair combines a devotional dimension – linked to the figure of Saint Anne – with a commercial and popular one: stalls, agricultural and artisanal products, entertainment, and meeting points for the inhabitants of the town and nearby centers. Traditionally, the fair takes place concurrently with the Fiera di San Pasquale Baylon, on the last weekend of July.
A Filignano Summer Event
Along with the Festa dell'Emigrante (Emigrant's Festival) and the Mario Lanza International Festival, the Sant'Anna Fair contributes to Filignano's rich summer calendar, a small village that, thanks to the return of emigrants, becomes particularly lively during the summer months.
