The patronal feast of Sesto Campano dedicated to Saint Eustace
Saint Eustace the Martyr is the principal patron saint of Sesto Campano, a municipality in the province of Isernia located on the border between Molise and Campania. His patronal feast in September is the most solemn moment of the year for the Sesto Campano community and ideally marks the end of the long season of summer events.
The heart of the celebrations is the Church of Saint Eustace, a building of 13th-century origin rebuilt in Neoclassical style in 1802. Around the patron saint revolves an ancient devotion, preserved and organized each year by the Comitato Festa Sant'Eustachio Martire (Saint Eustace the Martyr Festival Committee), which is active in preparing the three days of festivities.
The feast is spread over three days, featuring the solemn Mass and the procession of the saint through the town's streets, accompanied by civil celebrations: concerts, illuminations, stalls, and shows. It is an occasion when the entire community of Sesto Campano, including families returned from abroad, comes together around their patron saint.
The 2026 edition of the Feast of Saint Eustace the Martyr will be held from September 19 to 21 in Sesto Campano. The three days, curated by the Festival Committee, include religious services, the procession of the patron saint, and civil celebrations, concluding the Sesto Campano summer season.
Sesto Campano is located in the province of Isernia, on the border with Campania, near the A1 motorway exit (San Vittore/Venafro).
Free admission to all celebrations.
