About San Vito Jazz

San Vito Jazz is the summer festival that brings top-tier national and international jazz to San Vito Lo Capo, on the northwestern tip of Sicily. Evening concerts are held in the intimate and evocative setting of the Palazzo La Porta Garden in the heart of the town, with free admission. Featuring renowned soloists, international ensembles, and a dedicated educational section, the event celebrates Italian and Sicilian jazz in dialogue with world-class guest artists.

San Vito Jazz: Signature jazz on the Tyrrhenian coast

San Vito Jazz is one of the most beloved music festivals in the province of Trapani. Every year, it transforms late summer evenings in San Vito Lo Capo into a celebration of great jazz. Organized by AOTS with the support of the local municipality, the festival aims to promote Italian and Sicilian jazz by pairing local talent with major national and international stars.

The Palazzo La Porta Garden

The heart of the festival is the Palazzo La Porta Garden, located on Via del Mulino within the municipal building. This open-air space becomes an intimate, cozy stage perfect for listening: the audience sits just a few meters from the musicians, creating an atmosphere that prioritizes sound quality and direct connection with the artists. Concerts typically start late in the evening, around 9:30 PM, when the cool night air makes listening under the Sicilian sky truly ideal.

Soloists, ensembles, and the next generation

The festival program alternates big names in contemporary jazz with rising stars, with a special focus on the Sicilian and Mediterranean scenes. Over the years, the stage has hosted leading saxophonists, pianists, double bassists, and vocalists in formations ranging from classic trios to experimental projects. A Jazz School section, introduced in recent editions, brings together students from the main jazz schools of Western Sicily and their masters, bridging the gap between education and the professional stage.

San Vito Lo Capo: Between sea and music

Famous for its white sandy beach and the Couscous Fest, San Vito Lo Capo is one of Sicily's most renowned seaside destinations. The jazz festival adds a cultural layer to the town's offerings, extending the tourist season with a high-quality event that blends signature music, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality. For those visiting the province of Trapani at the end of summer, San Vito Jazz is the perfect opportunity to experience jazz in a unique setting, just a stone's throw from the sea.

Free admission

The festival has always maintained free admission for all concerts, a choice that makes it accessible to both residents and visitors, fostering a true sense of community. For the detailed program and updated schedules, we recommend checking the event's official channels.
