Wine, food, and music in the historic center of Erice
Borgo diVino in Tour is the major traveling food and wine festival promoted by the I Borghi piรน belli d'Italia association and organized by Valica S.p.A., which visits dozens of villages across the peninsula every year, bringing quality wine to the country's most beautiful historic centers. For the 2026 edition, Erice, in the province of Trapani, is the only Sicilian village included in the calendar of 25 national stops: a recognition of the value of its historical heritage and the landscape that overlooks the gulf from an altitude of over 750 meters.
During the three evenings, the ancient heart of the town of Erice transforms into a widespread wine itinerary that winds through Piazza della Loggia, Piazza San Giuliano, and Piazza San Domenico. The cobblestone streets and stone courtyards provide the backdrop for the winery stands, in a unique atmosphere where tasting intertwines with the discovery of the village, its churches, and its panoramic views.
Over 30 wineries, both local and from all over Italy, accompany visitors on a journey through flavors. There is ample space for Sicilian and Trapani excellence, with labels such as Erice DOC, Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG, Catarratto, and Grillo, alongside a selection of wines from other regions of the peninsula. A complete overview of Italian winemaking, from Mediterranean whites to structured reds.
Borgo diVino is an event with free access, open to everyone. Those who wish to taste the wines can purchase a voucher, online or directly on-site, which entitles them to eight wine tastings of their choice from the participating wineries, including the tasting glass. Gastronomy can be purchased separately at the local stands.
Perched on Mount San Giuliano, Erice is one of the most fascinating villages in Sicily: a maze of medieval alleys, churches, the Castle of Venus, and a view that stretches from Trapani to the Egadi Islands. Experiencing Borgo diVino means combining wine culture with the magic of a place suspended between sky and sea, in one of the most beloved stops of the entire national tour.
For 2026, Borgo diVino in Tour returns to Erice from August 28th to 30th, confirming the Trapani village as the only Sicilian stop on the national calendar of 25 events. The three evenings, from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM, will enliven Piazza della Loggia, Piazza San Giuliano, and Piazza San Domenico.
Over 30 wineries will offer tastings of Sicilian labels such as Erice DOC, Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG, Catarratto, and Grillo, along with wines from other Italian regions. The event, with free access, requires the purchase of a voucher for tastings; the program is completed by typical gastronomy, live music, and cultural initiatives.
