The patronal feast of Trivero featuring traditions, food stalls, and a vintage Fiat 500 and classic car rally
The San Quirico and Giulitta Festival is the most anticipated event of the year for the community of Trivero, a district of the Municipality of Valdilana, in the province of Biella, nestled in the Piedmontese mountains. Dedicated to the patron saints of the Trivero parish, the festival takes place in mid-June, transforming the Piazza della Chiesa in the Matrice district into a vibrant meeting point for residents of the Sessera valleys and the entire eastern Biella region.
True to the tradition of Piedmontese patronal feasts, the event blends moments of devotion—religious celebrations honoring Saints Quirico and Giulitta—with a lively village fair. For several days, the square fills with food stalls, market stands, live music, and family-friendly entertainment, renewing the bond between the community and its roots.
The most awaited moment is the Fiat 500 and Vintage Car Rally. On Sunday, dozens of classic vehicles gather in Trivero to parade along the scenic roads of the eastern Biella region, crossing picturesque locations such as the famous Oasi Zegna. At the end of the tour, participants enjoy a communal lunch to conclude the day dedicated to classic motoring. It is an event that combines a passion for historic vehicles with the discovery of the Biella mountain landscape.
Valdilana, formed by the merger of the municipalities of Trivero, Mosso, Soprana, and Valle Mosso, is one of the historic centers of the Italian wool industry, overlooking the green slopes of the Biella Prealps. The nearby Oasi Zegna, a nature reserve spanning over one hundred square kilometers created by entrepreneur Ermenegildo Zegna, provides the ideal backdrop for a festival that celebrates tradition, community, and love for the land.
Organized by the Pro Loco of Trivero with the support of the Municipality of Valdilana, the San Quirico and Giulitta Festival is a perfect opportunity to discover the authenticity of the Biella region, taste traditional dishes, and experience the genuine atmosphere of a Piedmontese village festival, complete with music, vintage cars, and conviviality.
Trivero, a district of Valdilana, can be reached by car via the SP232 and the roads leading up to the Mosso and Sessera valleys in the eastern Biella region. It is approximately a 25-30 minute drive from Biella; the reference motorway exits are Carisio (A4) or Romagnano-Ghemme (A26). The main meeting point is the Piazza della Chiesa in the Matrice district.
Access to the patronal feast and events in the square is generally free; registration fees may apply for participants in the vintage car rally.
We recommend combining your visit to the festival with an excursion to the nearby Oasi Zegna and the surrounding valley villages. For details on schedules and the updated program, it is best to contact the Pro Loco of Trivero.
