Parades, masks, and music in the heart of the Alto Tavoliere
In the heart of the Alto Tavoliere, in the province of Foggia, the San Paolo di Civitate Carnival is one of the most anticipated winter events in Puglia. Promoted by the municipal administration in collaboration with local associations, the event transforms the town center into a festive route filled with masks, confetti, and music, drawing in families, children, and visitors from neighboring towns.
The highlight is the parade, which kicks off from Via Manzoni and winds through the main streets of the town until it reaches Piazza Aldo Moro, the bustling center of the event. Here, the party continues with music, dancing, and entertainment designed for all ages, in a joyful atmosphere that blends popular tradition with pure fun.
Alongside the parades, the local Carnival offers live entertainment that keeps the square buzzing until the evening. The Carnival music show brings rhythm and energy to the stage, hosted by well-known voices from the regional station Radio Norba, attracting a large and diverse audience to the square.
Deeply rooted in the popular traditions of the Capitanata region, the San Paolo di Civitate Carnival is above all a community celebration: an occasion where the municipality and local associations work together to bring the town to life, showcase public spaces, and offer residents and visitors days of shared joy. The masks, colors, and music make this event a symbol of the local identity in Puglia.
The celebrations are concentrated in the center of San Paolo di Civitate, along the route leading from Via Manzoni to Piazza Aldo Moro. The town, located in the northern inland area of the Foggia province, is easily accessible from the Alto Tavoliere and Lower Molise areas.
Organized by the municipal administration in collaboration with local associations, the 2026 edition brought the center of San Paolo di Civitate to life with two main events: Tuesday, February 17 and Sunday, February 22.
On both days, the parade started from Via Manzoni at 3:00 PM, crossing the main streets of the town until reaching Piazza Aldo Moro, where festivities continued with music, dancing, and entertainment for all ages.
The second event, on Sunday, February 22, concluded with the 'Carnival Music Show' scheduled at 8:30 PM, a show full of rhythm and energy hosted by Veronica from Radio Norba, a well-known voice of the regional station.
