International street theatre and contemporary circus festival in Piazza Marconi
The San Maurizio Buskers Festival is an international street theatre and contemporary circus festival that brings the centre of San Maurizio Canavese—a town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, in the heart of the Piedmontese Canavese—to life at the start of every summer. For two nights, Piazza Marconi transforms into a grand open-air stage where acrobatics, music, magic, and wonder captivate audiences of all ages.
The festival is organized by the Municipality of San Maurizio Canavese in collaboration with the Kaboom Act ASD APS association, experts in circus and street arts. Together, they curate a programme featuring professional companies and international artists capable of turning a village square into a space of shared amazement. Admission is free, ensuring the festival is truly open to the entire Canavese community and visitors from across Piedmont.
The programme alternates between major evening shows and moments of direct participation. Contemporary circus companies perform aerial acrobatics, balancing acts, and poetic narratives, while circus workshops open to both adults and children invite the public to try their hand at circus disciplines and equipment. To close the evenings, street food and DJ sets keep the festive atmosphere going until late at night.
Located just a few kilometres from Turin and Ciriè, San Maurizio Canavese is one of the vibrant hubs of the lower Canavese, an area rich in traditions and cultural initiatives. The Buskers Festival is part of a calendar of events that celebrates the town's squares and strengthens the sense of community, offering Piedmontese audiences a high-quality appointment dedicated to street arts.
La terza edizione del Buskers Festival si è tenuta il 5 e 6 giugno 2026 in Piazza Marconi a San Maurizio Canavese.
