About San Marc Festival

At the end of April, the small hamlet of Jutizzo, in Codroipo, celebrates San Marco with its village festival. Two days of genuine Friulian cuisine - gnocchi with ragù, grilled meats, frico, spit-roasted chicken - evenings of company and music, organized by Pro Loco San Marco Jutizzo. An authentic spring festival, where the community gathers around good food in the heart of Medio Friuli.

San Marco Celebrated in Jutizzo

Among the spring festivals of Medio Friuli is the San Marc Village Festival, which every year at the end of April enlivens Jutizzo, a small hamlet of Codroipo. Linked to the feast of San Marco, it is one of those genuine village festivals where the community comes together around traditional flavors and conviviality.

Traditional Friulian Cuisine

The star of the festival is Friulian cuisine: the food stalls offer potato gnocchi with ragù, grilled meats and steaks, grilled sausage, spit-roasted chicken, pan-fried frico, as well as fried dishes and local specialties, with side dishes like beans with onion, potatoes, and polenta. All available on-site or for takeaway, in generous portions and at village festival prices.

Music and Evenings of Company

Good food is accompanied by evening festivities, with music and entertainment animating the two days. The festival preserves the authentic spirit of Friulian village festivals, made of volunteer work, friendship, and traditions shared across generations.

A Pro Loco Festival

The San Marc Village Festival is organized by the Pro Loco San Marco Jutizzo, which each year mobilizes the commitment of volunteers to offer days open to everyone. For those visiting Medio Friuli in spring, it is an opportunity to discover the genuine hospitality of a small village in the plains, a few kilometers from Codroipo and Villa Manin.
