San Carlo Canavese Cultural Evenings

An autumn series dedicated to culture

The San Carlo Canavese Cultural Evenings are a series of literary and educational meetings that bring Monday evenings to life during the autumn in the town of San Carlo Canavese, in the Province of Turin, in the heart of the Ciriacese and Lower Canavese areas of Piedmont. Promoted by the Pro Loco of San Carlo Canavese ("il Bogianen... a bogio!"), the event offers a series of Monday evening appointments, generally concentrated between late September and late October.

Meetings with authors, historians, and experts

The heart of the series is the direct dialogue with the authors. Each evening is dedicated to the presentation of a book or a specific theme, with the participation of writers, historians, and local experts. Past editions have hosted, among others, the expert and historian Alessandro Mella and the writer Giuseppe Grinza, in meetings dedicated to the history, traditions, and stories of the Canavese and Piedmont regions.

A community event

The Cultural Evenings are aimed at the entire community of San Carlo and readers from the Ciriacese area: an opportunity to listen to authors, ask questions, and learn more about the local cultural and historical heritage. The meetings take place in the evening and admission is free to encourage the widest possible participation.

A deeply rooted initiative

Launched in 2023, the series is one of the activities through which the Pro Loco supports the cultural life of the Municipality of San Carlo Canavese throughout the year, alongside other initiatives such as the Madonna d'Oropa patronal feast and theatrical events. The Cultural Evenings confirm the town's commitment to combining social interaction, tradition, and culture, highlighting authors and themes linked to the Piedmontese territory.

2026 Edition

The Pro Loco of San Carlo Canavese has confirmed the continuation of the series in 2026. Precise dates and the program featuring guest authors are published each year shortly before the start on the official website and the Pro Loco's social media channels.
