The patronal festival of Mezzolombardo featuring a flea market
Saint Peter's Fair is one of the most cherished events in Mezzolombardo, a town in the Piana Rotaliana in the province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige. Every year in late June, the fair celebrates the patron saint and transforms the historic center into a large open-air market, enlivened by stalls, music, and culinary offerings. It is an event rooted in the town's commercial traditions that continues to attract families, curious visitors, and vintage enthusiasts from across the valley.
The streets of the center host numerous stalls featuring artisanal products, curiosities, household items, and local specialties, alongside hobbyist stands displaying their original creations. The heart of the day's most intriguing section is the flea market, set up along the tree-lined Via Filos and in the gardens of Piazza Unità d'Italia: here, you can hunt for vintage items, second-hand goods, and small treasures among the dozens of stalls reserved for exhibitors.
The fair is about more than just shopping: the day is accompanied by musical performances and a gastronomic selection ranging from regional specialties to street food. The town's spaces, from Piazzetta Mazzini to the main squares, host concerts and entertainment that create a lively and convivial atmosphere, perfect for a family stroll between purchases and snacks.
Linked to the figure of the patron saint, Saint Peter's Fair represents one of the defining events for the Municipality of Mezzolombardo. Organized by the municipal administration in collaboration with local associations, it blends the religious and community aspects of the patronal feast with the popular appeal of the fair and market, all within the exceptional setting of the Piana Rotaliana, land of the Teroldego wine.
Saint Peter's Fair 2026 was held on Sunday, June 28 in Mezzolombardo, with continuous hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
