The festival of Fraciscio
The Sagra di San Rocco is the summer festival of Fraciscio, a hamlet of Campodolcino in the upper Valchiavenna, in the province of Sondrio. Organized by the Amici di Fraciscio, it takes place during Ferragosto and represents one of the most anticipated moments of the summer for this small mountain village.
Three days of celebration
For three days, the hamlet comes alive with food stalls, music, and DJ sets, accompanied by a series of activities for all ages:
- Beer Pong and games;
- creative workshops for children (such as stone painting);
- tombola (bingo) and moments of conviviality;
- evening concerts and shows.
The grand finale
Closing the festival on Saturday is the performance by Bandadram, followed by fireworks, a bonfire, and a DJ set. A spectacular finale that illuminates the mountain night and brings the entire community together.
How to reach the hamlet
To facilitate participation, a free shuttle bus is available on August 15th and 16th from the church square in Campodolcino to Fraciscio. A valuable service that allows everyone to experience the festival safely, rediscovering the authentic atmosphere of a mountain sagra (local festival).
Sagra di San Rocco — edition 2026
The 2026 edition will repeat the tried-and-tested formula of the festival: three days of celebration in Fraciscio around Ferragosto, with food stalls, music, DJ sets, Beer Pong, creative workshops for children, tombola, and, to close, fireworks and a bonfire. A free shuttle from Campodolcino is planned. Precise dates and program details will be communicated by the Amici di Fraciscio in the weeks preceding the event.
