In the municipality of Montemezzo, in the Province of Como, overlooking the upper Lake Como, mid-August nights are illuminated by the Festa di San Lorenzo. The event takes place on the mountains of Montemezzo, in honour of the saint celebrated on August 10th, in a natural setting that makes its altitude and panorama its distinctive feature.

Between faith and conviviality

The festival combines the religious dimension with conviviality. Organised by the Pro Loco Montemezzo together with the parish, it offers moments of devotion — including mass — alongside festive events. The aperitif and dinner, served from the late afternoon, kick off the evenings, while the evening concert accompanies the conviviality under the starry summer sky.

The mountain that becomes a festival

Experiencing the Festa di San Lorenzo means climbing the mountains of Montemezzo and discovering an authentic corner of the Alto Lario, far from the large tourist flows of the lake. The event, deeply linked to the community's identity, is an opportunity to gather outdoors, among pastures and woods, on the warm Ferragosto evenings.
