Caspano is one of the hamlets of the municipality of Civo, overlooking the sunny Costiera dei Cech, the Rhaetian slope of the lower Valtellina in the province of Sondrio. The village dedicates a well-attended festival to its patron saint, Saint Bartholomew the Apostle, held at the end of August, around the liturgical feast day of August 24th.
The event takes place at the Caspano sports field and has the genuine flavour of village festivals: a gastronomic menu prepared by volunteers, music and dancing for the evenings, and bouncy castles for the little ones. The area is partly covered, so the festival can go ahead even in case of rain.
The event is organised by G.S. San Bartolomeo Caspano, an association that enlivens the hamlet's calendar with various events throughout the year, including the Sagra della Patata (Potato Festival). However, the patron saint's festival remains the most anticipated moment, an occasion to bring together residents, holidaymakers, and fans of the Costiera dei Cech.
San Bartolomeo a Caspano — edition 2026
For the summer of 2026, G.S. San Bartolomeo Caspano will again host the patron saint's festival in the hamlet of Civo, around the end of August. The proven formula includes a gastronomic menu prepared by volunteers, an evening of music and dancing, and bouncy castles for the little ones, in a partly covered area that allows the event to proceed even in case of rain.
The association is also active in the 2026 calendar with other events (such as the Sagra della Patata, scheduled for the end of June at the same sports field): the precise date of the San Bartolomeo festival will be announced closer to the event, with bookings available on gscaspano.it.
