Emilian flavors, live music and solidarity at the Area Feste
The Sagra dello Gnocco Fritto is the gastronomic festival that brings Emilian flavors to Bisuschio, a Municipality in the Province of Varese in Valceresio. At the Area Feste on Via Bonvicini, freshly made gnocco fritto takes center stage, served with cured meats, cheeses, and creamy squacquerone, in a offering that evokes the best tradition of Emilian cuisine.
The festival takes place over several evenings, with kitchens open from the evening and, on Sundays, also for lunch. Accompanying the gnocco fritto is live music every evening, with a program ranging from folk to blues, from rock'n'roll to DJ sets, capable of livening up the party and attracting an audience of all ages.
The event is organized by the Nucleo Mobile di Pronto Intervento (Mobile Emergency Response Unit), the group of civil protection volunteers active in the Municipalities of Bisuschio, Porto Ceresio, and Besano, with the support of the Gruppo Alpini. The proceeds from the festival are destined for the training of volunteers, particularly youth civil protection: enjoying gnocco fritto here also means supporting an important service for the area.
The 2026 edition, scheduled for July, will re-propose the proven formula: freshly made gnocco fritto with cured meats, cheeses, and squacquerone, kitchens open from the evening and, on Sundays, also for lunch, with live music every evening. The event, organized by the Nucleo Mobile di Pronto Intervento with the Gruppo Alpini, dedicates its proceeds to the training of civil protection volunteers. The 2026 dates and music program will be confirmed by the organizers closer to the event.
The 2026 music program and definitive dates will be released by the Nucleo Mobile di Pronto Intervento of Bisuschio closer to the event.
